Who We Are
Heritage Farm Museum & Village was born from the passion of co-founders Mike and Henriella Perry in 1973. After moving to a historic 150-acre farm, they uncovered the hidden beauty of old log structures, inspiring them to honor the hardworking spirit of their Appalachian ancestors.
Vibrant Educational Destination: Since 1996, Heritage Farm has featured multiple museums showcasing the rich and unique stories of Appalachian life, from daily life in the 19th century to artisan demonstrations.
Hands-On History: Guests can engage in interactive experiences that bring history alive, including hands-on activities that celebrate our heritage and culture.
Adventure and Resilience: Our Adventure Park offers thrilling outdoor experiences, reflecting the adventurous spirit of past generations and highlighting the adaptability and creativity of Appalachian people.

“This place is an amazing way to spend an afternoon! I came here with my girlfriend and despite being a little more geared towards kids, we had a blast. Between the petting zoo, the museums, and the awesome staff, we had a great time. Entry tickets are not expensive and they're good for an entire day, which is usually open for 5 hours a day. Along with some of the activities, you can purchase tickets for a zip liner, mountain biking, and taking a 4 wheeler through the mountains. Everyone in the family can find something to do here!”
